How Many Location Pages Should a Business Have?

A rule for deciding which markets earn a page — and when to stop.

5 min read

Build a location page for every market where you would genuinely take work today, and no others.

A simple qualification test

  • Would you drive there this week for a job?
  • Have you worked there before, or would you like to?
  • Is there real search demand for your service there?
  • Can you say something specific about working in that market?

Four yeses means build the page. Two means wait.

Sequencing

Start with five to ten markets, publish them properly, and measure. Add the next tier once the first is indexed and performing. This also spreads the writing cost over months instead of weeks.

Maintenance

Review location pages annually. Add new proof, refresh details, and merge or remove pages that never gained traction.
